The Pebbles Guide
We have been coming the Lizard for many years - long before Pebbles was ours. This guide is a collection of the places we return to time and again - our favourite beaches, walks, cafés and hidden corners of the Lizard Peninsula. Some are well known, others are easy to miss, but all have become part of our family's story. We hope they become part of yours too.

Food on and around the Lizard
Food is one of the great pleasures of staying on the Lizard. There is something about this part of the world where the food is deeply connected to place. This article focusses on our absolute repeat-visit faves on the Lizard penisula - in the village and beyond but there are plenty of places to eat and drink just a short stroll from Pebbles. Where to eat in Lizard Village
Some of our favourite places to eat in the UK are in the Lizard peninsular. Whilst some are truly special places to visit - a destination in their own right, some of our most memorable meals have been wonderfully simple - an Ann's pasty on the beach, coffee after an early morning swim or fish and chips eaten straight from the paper overlooking the sea. Whatever you're looking for, there is plenty available on foot without having to get into a car. A Soulful Fave If we had to

Flora and Forna
The dramatic coastline and mild climate of the Lizard make it one of the best places in Cornwall to experience nature. Here are a few places we think are well worth discovering. Seal Spotting One of the joys of visiting the Lizard is how often you encounter wildlife without really t

Beaches and Coves
Whether you're looking for an adventurous morning swim, a sheltered family beach or a hidden cove to explore, the Lizard has something for everyone. Many of our favourite beaches can be reached on foot from Pebbles, while others are just a short drive away. Most of the beaches around the Lizard are tidal, so we recommend arriving an hour or two before low tide to enjoy the sand for as long as possible. It's always worth checking the tide times before setting out. Our Fa

Wild Swimming
There's something incredibly special about swimming in the clear waters around the Lizard Peninsula. On a calm summer's day, the sea shimmers in shades of turquoise and emerald that rival anywhere in the Mediterranean.
