While a car is recommended for making the most of your stay and discovering the wider Lizard Peninsula, it's by no means essential. With village cafés, pubs and shops close by, and miles of coastline accessible from the doorstep, you can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing break without needing to drive every day. Our Pebbles Guide
We first fell in love with the Lizard long before Pebbles was ours. Over the years we've discovered the places we return to time and again—not necessarily the ones you'll find at the top of every guidebook, but the beaches that feel magical whatever the weather, the cafés where we happily lose track of time, and the walks we never tire of.
To help you experience the Lizard as we do, every guest receives exclusive access to our carefully curated Pebbles Guide, filled with our favourite walks, beaches, places to eat, wildlife encounters and hidden gems.
It's designed to help you make the most of your stay from the moment you arrive.
Inside Pebbles
Pebbles is a traditional two-up, two-down Cornish cottage that has been thoughtfully redesigned to feel bright, calm and welcoming while celebrating its original character.
Original slate flagstone floors, white-painted floorboards and exposed textures sit comfortably alongside contemporary furnishings and carefully chosen finishes.
The open-plan living space includes a comfortable sitting area with a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen featuring an instant boiling water tap, wine fridge and induction range cooker—ideal whether you're preparing breakfast before a coastal walk or enjoying a relaxed evening meal at home.
Just beyond the hallway you'll find a shower room and separate WC.
Upstairs are two generous bedrooms with built-in storage, white-painted floorboards and soft natural textures throughout.
The main bedroom features a king-size wrought iron bed and a freestanding nickel boat bath, creating a wonderfully relaxing space to unwind after a day exploring the coast.
The second bedroom has twin divan beds which can also be configured as a super king for couples if required.
Both bedrooms include blackout blinds behind the linen curtains for those who enjoy a restful night's sleep.
For families travelling with a baby, a BabyBjörn travel cot is available (please bring your own bedding).
Outside
The private courtyard provides a peaceful space for morning coffee or al fresco dining after a day at the beach.
An adjoining outhouse houses the washing machine and tumble dryer and provides useful storage for wetsuits, paddleboards, beach equipment, bikes and buggies.
Discover Lizard Village
One of the greatest pleasures of staying at Pebbles is being able to park the car and simply explore on foot.
Within a few minutes you'll find welcoming pubs, cafés, a farm shop, galleries and the village post office, while the spectacular South West Coast Path begins almost on your doorstep.
If you'd prefer to settle in straight away, all major supermarkets (excluding Ocado) deliver to the cottage, allowing you to arrive to a fully stocked kitchen.
When you're ready to explore further afield, favourites such as Cadgwith, Coverack, Porthleven, Church Cove at Gunwalloe and Kennack Sands are all just a short drive away.

Good to know
The shower room and WC are located on the ground floor.
Pebbles is intentionally free from a television. We love slowing down and embracing everything this special part of Cornwall has to offer, but if you'd like to stream films or programmes during your stay, simply bring a tablet or laptop and connect to the cottage Wi-Fi.
We welcome a maximum of four guests plus one baby. If you have an older third child, please get in touch before booking and we'll always do our best to help.
We hope you'll love it here
Pebbles is much more than a holiday cottage to us. It's a place we fell in love with long before we became its owners, and we've carefully restored it to reflect everything we love about the Lizard—simple living, beautiful design, wild landscapes and a slower pace of life.
Whether you're coming for windswept winter walks, long summer beach days or simply a chance to switch off, we hope Pebbles feels like a home from home and the beginning of your own love affair with this remarkable corner of Cornwall.
